Description
By testing the bur (2.35mm or 1.6mm) the user can ensure that the bur is within the recommended dimensions when it is inserted into the handpiece. Burs that are not approved with this device should be discarded. Burs in proper condition will fit into the silver gauge, but will not fit into the red gauge. Burs that fail either of these tests are unfit for use, and may get stuck or cause damage to the handpiece and should be disposed of.
